Today, Deputy Secretary General of bio.be/essenscia Tineke Van hooland participated at the European Health Summit, together with State Secretary for Economic Recovery and Strategic Investments in Belgium Thomas Dermine and Public Health Advisor to the Prime Minister of Belgium Sam Proesmans. They debated about how Belgium can become the health and biotech valley of tomorrow. The occasion to come back to the crucial role of Belgium in the Covid-19 crisis and to explain the importance of the creation of the ‘R&D Biopharma platform’. Tineke highlighted how Belgium can keep its pole position within the EU and beyond: top-notch and disruptive therapies and technology platforms, a predictable fiscal innovation policy and stimulate Belgium as a talent growth pool.
