This is a jointly Vlarip & Walrip session. Because of the multilingual audience this session will be delivered in English.
The “Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals” or in short “GHS” provides a basis for harmonization of rules and regulations on chemicals at national, regional and worldwide level. Since its first publication in 2003, GHS has been updated, revised and improved every two years.
As GHS is also an important factor for global trade, it is worthwhile to closely monitor the implementation of this system in other regions. On request of members, we zoom in on the actual status of GHS and a couple of non-EU CLP-like legislations in this joint VLARIP/WALRIP session.
