On Friday 28th of April, Denuo and essenscia PolyMatters will organize their fourth Plastic Matters event in BluePoint Brussels.*
The draft Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and the proposal for the Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation both have the intention to increase the uptake of recycled plastics. The various pledges from brand owners to boost circularity across sectors in combination with the first recycled content obligations for beverage bottles in the SUP directive are today putting high pressures on the access to recycled materials. Why? Because there is an urgent need to increase collection of plastic containing waste. What can be done to collect more plastic containing waste streams? New initiatives in collection are key to create the required feedstock and attract more investments in recycling. Learn more about the challenges as well the opportunities to make the Belgian plastic value chain more circular.
