The essenscia Sustainability Academy offers an in-depth masterclass and thematic workshops to keep track of this evolution.

Advanced Master Class: Sustainable Transition Strategies for the Chemical & Life Sciences Industry

This in-depth 5-day training course is looking at sustainability from a scientific, engineering and business perspective. The program is supported by KU Leuven University, the University of Ghent and Allen & Overy, and is hosted at BNP Paribas Fortis in Brussels. Join the discussion with renowned academics, policy makers and specialists from the chemical industry, research centres and the financial sector.

The second edition of the Advanced Masterclass on Sustainable Transition Strategies will take place from 27 until 31 May 2024.

Sustainability workshops (members working group Sustainability only)

In the light of our commitment to advancing sustainability in the chemical and life sciences industry, essenscia offers its members 4 workshops on topics which are material to the industry. These experience exchanges target people who are deeply involved in leading the change and aim to empower this community to identify the best pathways possible. 

With scope 3 representing 77% of the chemical industry’s emissions, this topic is crucial on
the pathway to a more sustainable future. Companies in the chemical and life sciences industry are at the forefront of developing and implementing solutions for tracking, managing, and ultimately reducing
scope 3 emissions. To foster this progress, essenscia’s workshop unites people deeply involved in leading the change to inspire and support each other for more rapid advancement.
