The UN GHS provides globally uniform physical, environmental, and health and safety information on hazardous chemical substances and mixtures. It sets up criteria for the classification of chemical substances and mixtures. It also sets up standardised hazard information to facilitate the global trade of chemicals. However, there is more and more divergence in country and regions: The EU is adopting new hazard classes prior to UN GHS implementation, divergence with the UK due to Brexit causing more complexity, regions not adopting the same version of GHS… In this session we will cover the topics for the 10th revision of the UN GHS and specifically how UN GHS will deal with the EU new hazard classes. Followed by the latest GHS updates worldwide with specific focus on EU, UK, Turkey and Asia (China, Japan, India, Korea). Whole session will be provided in English – This is a jointly Vlarip & Walrip session on GHS implementation worldwide.
