essenscia brussels is the regional division of essenscia supporting over 100 companies in Brussels, offering expertise, advice and services tailored to regional themes and competencies.

With nearly 30% of exports, nearly a quarter of added value and 16% of industrial jobs, chemicals and life sciences is a key sector within the Brussels economy. Many chemical and pharmaceutical companies have their European headquarters or R&D departments in Brussels and many industrial production companies operate here too.

The proximity of various international administrations and institutions, makes Brussels the preferred location for promising start-ups and well-known multinationals in the chemical and life sciences sector.  A favourable investment climate and specific support for innovation are both needed to strengthen the international appeal of Brussels.
