The 15th Chemistry Conference for Young Scientists (ChemCYS) will take place from February 19 to 21 at the Floréal conference center in Blankenberge. This biannual conference is organised by Jong-KVCV, the youth division of the Royal Flemish Chemical Society (KVCV). Throughout the years ChemCYS has evolved into an international conference and is being recognised by organisations such as IUPAC and EuChemS.
Organising a high-level international conference is almost impossible without the support of sponsors. At ChemCYS 2020, we offer our sponsors the opportunity to present their company to potential employees, researchers and even partners in a variety of ways. Each sponsor deal corresponds with a different number of options to be spent on your company’s visibility. You can find our sponsorship proposal here.
ChemCYS highly values the starting and promising young scientists: they receive the opportunity to present their research to a broad scientific audience through an oral presentation or a poster. The participants at ChemCYS are mostly master students in their final year, Ph.D. students, and young postdoctoral researchers in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy or other related disciplines. The conference covers six parallel research areas:
- Analytical and environmental chemistry
- Inorganic chemistry
- Life sciences
- Macromolecular and materials chemistry
- Organic and organometallic chemistry
- Physical and theoretical chemistry
ChemCYS bridges the gap between the young participants and the chemical industry. During the event “KaféCV” the participants meet a selection of professional researchers and representatives from the chemical industry. In this manner young researchers are triggered to discuss, share experiences and establish contacts helping them to build a professional and exciting career in the future.
