Last week, the Belgian government launched a call for expression of interest for companies for a potential IPCEI on hydrogen. If your company is part of the hydrogen value chain, is considering innovation investments and is seeking for government support to realize this, it is worthwhile considering this opportunity.
The deadline for submission of the expression of interest is in two stages, with an initial submission by April 6 and a more extensive submission by May 6.

In addition, the first call for The ETS Innovation Fund is expected in June 2020.
The EC will provide grants up to a maximum of 60% of the relevant costsĀ of a project, but the grant may be combined with other complementary (European) funding sources. The payment methods will be laid down in the contractual documentation, but the projects can receive up to 40% of the grant (which amounts to a maximum of 60% of the relevant costs) at financial close, without any further conditions.
The first call will be technology neutral and will be a call for large scale projects (capital expenses > 7,5 M euro).
