The horizontal BREF contains best available techniques and associated emissions limit values for emissions to air from the chemical industry. These BAT-conclusions need to be implemented within 4 years. The Commission Implementing Decision establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions under Directive 2010/75/EU for the Common Waste Gas Management and Treatment Systems in the Chemical sector (WGC) have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union [Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2427].
