Les sciences du vivant, vecteurs de progrès

A la fois source d’optimisation et d’innovation, le monde du vivant s’intègre de plus en plus aux processus et produits de la chimie et de la pharmacie. Les techniques révolutionnaires qui en découlent permettent l’émergence de nouvelles solutions plus durables, en harmonie avec les êtres vivants mais aussi économes en ressources fossiles. Les sciences du vivant contribuent ainsi à répondre aux grands enjeux sociétaux actuels et futurs.

Créer un cadre propice à l’essor des biotechnologies

Dans son rôle d’advocacy auprès des autorités, la mission de bio.be/essenscia est de développer un cadre légal propice à l’innovation dans les domaines spécifiques aux biotechnologies tels qu’un accès à des cellules et tissus de qualité pour les entreprises de thérapie cellulaire, un partage équitable des bénéfices découlant de l’utilisation de ressources naturelles d’un pays, ou encore une facilitation administrative des essais cliniques et de la R&D, afin de consolider la position attractive des sciences de la vie en Belgique.

Sur le plan de la communication, bio.be/essenscia assure également la promotion de l’image du secteur en mettant en exergue l’excellence de ses membres qui développent des produits et solutions de pointe améliorant la qualité de vie de chacun. L’association est ainsi votre point de contact pour EuropaBio, l’association européenne des biotechs et est également membre de l’ICBA, le conseil international des associations biotechnologiques créé par bio.be et EuropaBio.
