Biography of the essenscia managing directors and spokesman

Yves Verschueren


Yves Verschueren has been essenscia Managing Director since September 2007.
After graduating in law and economics from the Catholic University of Louvain, Yves Verschueren started his career at Unilever. He worked in Belgium, Switzerland, Zimbabwe and Italy for Unilever Europe and was Senior Vice President Home Care before being appointed CEO of Unilever Belgium.
As essenscia Managing Director he is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (FEB).


Bernard Broze

After studying chemical engineering and the bioindustries at the Faculty of Gembloux, Bernard Broze pursued a successful career in the pharmaceutical and petrochemicals industry. He was environmental safety manager for GSK Bio before being appointed Managing Director essenscia wallonie and essenscia brussels in 1999.
A lecturer at Mons University and member of the Board of Management of Gembloux Agro biotech – University of Liège, Bernard Broze is also President of Cefochim and director of the BECI and the UWE.

Frank Beckx

On January 1, 2014 Frank Beckx was appointed Managing Director of essenscia vlaanderen. He joined essenscia in 2008 as spokesman and Head of Communication & Public Affairs.
After taking a law degree at Leuven University, Frank Beckx started his career in 2003 as legal advisor to the office of the Flemish housing minister. A year later he had become spokesman for Minister Keulen, whose portfolio at the time covered Interior Administration, Planning, Housing and Integration. Between 2005 and 2007 he was spokesman for Fientje Moerman, Deputy Prime Minister for the Economy, Innovation, Research and Foreign Trade of the Flemish Government.


Corine Petry
 In January 2014, Corine Petry was appointed Head of Communication and Spokesman at essenscia after having joined essenscia in 2012 as Communication Advisor.
Corine holds a master in translation (German-English) from ISTI and an MBA in Management from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. After a year spent in Austria, she started her career as account manager in corporate communication working for different advertising agencies. In 2008, she became Communication advisor for Westinghouse Electric, a company specialized in nuclear energy.
