VLARIP stands for “Vlaanderens REACH Implementatie Peterschapsproject” (Flanders' REACH Implementation Mentorship Project). With this mentorship project, essenscia vlaanderen wants to reach out a helping hand to her members, especially SME's in the REACH and CLP implementation.
Vlaripchemicalindustry started in January 2008 and the first project is slowly going towards it end. In January 2011 a closing event (for info click http://www.vlariptextiel.be/) will be held that also will be the start of the next VLARIP project.
During the first Vlaripchemicalindustry project about 60 chemical companies were prepared for their Reach and CLP obligations. At the monthly meetings an update on new laws is given, in function of the actuality topics are looked in to, questions answered, experiences exchanged,… In short, everything that’s necessary to implement reach and CLP in a smooth and correct manner will be handled.
VLARIP exists thanks to the support of the Flemish Region and the well willing collaboration of mentors coming from large chemical companies in Flanders. They are experts in product safety and have kept up for years with the REACH legislation. During the VLARIP meetings they share their knowledge and experience with the SME's.
The project addresses decision makers (company directors, plant managers, managers), REACH coordinators and product safety advisors (environmental coordinators, safety advisors, quality managers) of the Flemish chemical companies.
Participants receive a certificate for the continuous training of environmental coordinators and can benefit from the BEA entrepreneurship portfolio (homologation number DV.P104801 - more info: click here).
